LimNexus is pleased to welcome Soohyuk Yim as a Partner in our Los Angeles office, effective July 1, 2025. Mr. Yim will focus on expanding the Firm’s corporate and tax capabilities, with particular emphasis on cross-border transactions, international estate planning, and Korean client services.
Mr. Yim brings more than 15 years of experience advising clients on corporate transactions, tax matters, and regulatory issues. Prior to joining LimNexus, he practiced at Lee & Ko, one of Korea’s leading law firms, where he advised multinational corporations on a wide range of corporate, finance, and tax issues and represented clients in high-stakes commercial and tax litigation. His practice is particularly well-suited for clients with business operations or assets in both Korea and the United States.
With dual credentials in Korean and U.S. tax law, Mr. Yim provides integrated legal and tax solutions to individuals and businesses navigating the complexities of international taxation and wealth management. He is also experienced in handling international tax controversies, Korean legal advisory matters, and cross-border compliance.
Mr. Yim earned his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law and an LL.M. from UC Berkeley School of Law. He also holds an LL.B. from Seoul National University and completed legal training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea after passing the Korean Bar Exam. He is licensed to practice law in California, New York, and Korea, and is also an Enrolled Agent licensed by the IRS.
With deep understanding of both Korean and U.S. legal systems and cultures, Mr. Yim is well positioned to contribute meaningfully to LimNexus’s cross-border and Korea-related practice. We are thrilled to have him join our team.
