Jane Kespradit is a commercial and employment litigator with significant experience servicing mid-sized and Fortune 500 clients in state and federal court. In the commercial context, she has handled breach of fiduciary duty, contract disputes, fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, and unfair competition claims. On the employment side, Ms. Kespradit has represented employers in a wide array of employment-related litigation, including discrimination, failure to accommodate, harassment, misclassification, retaliation, wage and hour, and wrongful termination claims. She also advises employers on a wide range of employment issues.

Ms. Kespradit tailors her approach to fit each client’s needs and business objectives. She represents a broad range of major corporations, including in the retail, media, shipping, and utility industries. Her practice includes all stages of litigation through trial work and appeals.

Ms. Kespradit’s leadership and pro bono work have included: co-founding and serving as a founding officer, and President, of the Thai American Bar Association; serving as a board member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles County; participating in the California Lawyers Association’s Bar Leadership activities; volunteering for the Los Angeles County Bar Association Domestic Violence Project; and organizing a multi-year series of panels focused on developing and recognizing career successes of women in the legal profession.

Ms. Kespradit earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. While attending law school, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Tomar Mason (Ret.) of the San Francisco Superior Court.

Representative Matters

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a multinational retail corporation against a former employee’s claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, violation of the California Family Rights Act, and violations of the California Labor Code.
  • Resolved claims brought against a major media corporation for misrepresentation, breach of employment contract, wrongful termination, and unfair business practices.
  • Settled claims made against an employee of a multinational shipping and supply chain management company involving sexual harassment, battery, and assault.
  • Defended a real estate development and property management company against a former employee’s whistleblower retaliation, age and gender discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour violation claims.
  • Represented a utility company in high-exposure, tort litigation including through trial and appeals.
  • Resolved claims on behalf of a real estate developer for breach of contract, defamation, fraud, misrepresentation, and unfair competition.
  • Obtained a defense summary judgment for a company in a breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and unfair competition action.
  • Represented domestic affiliate of foreign corporation in a class action lawsuit involving publicity rights violations and unfair competition.
  • Obtained summary judgment in an adversary proceeding, which resulted in a multi-million judgment against the debtor declared non-dischargeable.
