Sandy Sakamoto, partner, spoke on an ethics panel for continuing education on conflicts of interest (“When Belts and Suspenders May be Appropriate”) at the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firm’s (NAMWOLF) Annual Meeting in Houston, Texas in September. The panel presented on the fundamentals of conflicts of interest as well as the finer issues lawyers must be keen on spotting.

Paul H. Kim, a partner in the firm’s corporate group, will be a member of a panel titled “EB-5 at a Quarter Century: Myths, Facts, and a Look Forward,” on Friday, November 4 at 9:00 AM. The panel will be discussing legal issues relevant to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. Mr. Kim specifically will be discussing different approaches for structuring investments under the program and applicable securities law requirements.
