Hyun Park
Hyun Park has 30 years of experience in the legal sector and has broad experience in advising companies, senior management, and boards on a wide variety of complex matters, including crisis management, corporate transactions, litigation, regulatory matters and corporate governance.  He began his career at Latham & Watkins and became an equity partner there.
From 2006 to 2017, he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for PG&E Corporation (a Fortune 200 company) and its businesses, including its principal subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company.  Prior to joining PG&E Corporation, Mr. Park was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Allegheny Energy, Inc. and previously served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Sithe Energies, Inc.
Mr. Park received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.  In addition, he holds a graduate degree in economics from Oxford University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Columbia University.  He is a member of the State Bar of California and serves on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Marin Food Bank.

Representative Matters

  • As the general counsel of a Fortune 200 company for approximately 11 years, held overall responsibility for corporate governance, SEC disclosure, and all legal matters, including crisis management, litigation, transactions, and regulatory matters.
  • As the general counsel of Sithe Energies, Inc., negotiated and managed numerous M&A transactions, including the sale of the company to Exelon Corporation, and managed litigation, transactions, and regulatory matters.
  • At Latham & Watkins, represented clients on M&A transactions, corporate and project financings, private equity transactions, and international joint ventures.
